Chris Webber saved the Sacramento Kings from a potentially embarrassing loss.

The All-Star forward scored 24 points and made a 21-footer with 1.5 seconds left as the Kings stayed unbeaten at home this season with a 101-99 victory Sunday night over the Orlando Magic.

Tracy McGrady made two three-pointers and Pat Burke tipped in a shot with four seconds left as Orlando rallied from an eight-point deficit in the final minute to tie the game at 99-99.

Following a timeout, Webber took the inbounds pass and Bobby Jackson went around him to give Webber some room. He quickly put up a shot over Shawn Kemp that went straight in. Darrell Armstrong’s desperation shot at the buzzer from near midcourt was not close.

In was only the second game-winning basket in Webber’s five seasons with the Kings, who are 5-0 at home.

“I just felt real confident about it before I shot it,” said Webber, who had 10 rebounds. “There was a moment of suspense, you’re holding your breath until it goes in. I don’t care if you’ve done this a thousand times, it feels good when it happens.”

Jackson, who made 10 of 11 shots and had 22 points, said the play was not designed for Webber.

“He was wide open, they [the defenders] followed me,” Jackson said. “I thought I was going to get the ball.”

The Kings led, 98-90, with 41 seconds left. A steal by Darrell Armstrong on an inbounds pass followed by Burke’s tip in nearly sent the game into overtime.

Philadelphia 100, Washington 84 -- Keith Van Horn converted a three-point play with 5:41 left to begin a game clinching 10-0 run for the 76ers.

Improving to 6-0 at home, the 76ers got 28 points from Allen Iverson as they moved into a tie with the New Jersey Nets for first place in the Atlantic Division.

In attendance among the near-sellout crowd of 20,437 was Eagle quarterback Donovan McNabb, who broke his right ankle while playing against Arizona earlier in the day. He received a standing ovation when shown on the scoreboard during the second quarter.

Utah 82, Toronto 78 -- Karl Malone scored 11 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter to help the Jazz win at Toronto.

After combining for only 12 points in the first three quarters, Malone and John Stockton combined for 18 in the fourth.

Malone grabbed an offensive rebound and made a short jumper to give Utah a four-point lead with 1:35 left. He then made one of two free throws, giving the Jazz a 81-76 lead with 1:24 left.

After Toronto’s Morris Peterson made a layup, Stockton made one of two free throws with 44 seconds left to give Utah an 82-78 lead.
