Scott Young scored with 1:04 left in regulation, then Pierre Turgeon tipped in a long shot by Young 3:19 into overtime to rally the Dallas Stars to a 3-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets Sunday night in Dallas.

The Western Conference-leading Stars won their fourth straight, with Turgeon scoring the winner in the last three. Dallas also remained unbeaten at home at 7-0-0-1.

The Blue Jackets appeared headed to their first win in Dallas as they led, 2-0, with goaltender Marc Denis playing fabulously.

But Bill Guerin scored on a cross-ice pass from Mike Modano with 6:54 left to begin the Stars’ comeback, then Young scored seconds after Dallas pulled Marty Turco for an extra skater.

Young’s tying goal -- which appeared to go in off a defenseman -- was set up by Derian Hatcher, who fought off a defenseman with one arm to keep control of the puck and allow Turco to leave the ice. Seconds earlier, Hatcher made a stick save just in front of the Dallas goal when Turco was caught roaming behind the net.

Young nearly had the winner at 3:11 of overtime, but his point-blank shot hit the crossbar. Phillipe Boucher and Modano also had good chances, but Denis stopped them.

Chicago 4, Nashville 2 -- Steve Sullivan scored two goals at Chicago to help the Blackhawks extend their unbeaten streak to six games.

Alex Zhamnov had a goal and two assists for the Blackhawks, who got 28 saves from Jocelyn Thibault. Boris Mironov also scored for Chicago, 4-0-2 during its streak.

Although Zhamnov leads the Blackhawks with 17 points, his goal was only his second this season and first in 15 games.

Nashville rookie Vernon Fiddler had his first NHL goal and assist. The Predators, who are winless in four games (0-3-1), have scored only five goals during that span.

Tampa Bay 2, Carolina 1 -- Cory Sarich scored with 1:15 left in overtime and Nikolai Khabibulin stopped 35 shots at Raleigh, N.C.

Pavel Kubina scored with 8:29 left in regulation to ruin Kevin Weekes’ shutout bid against his former team, and Sarich’s second career goal in 226 games improved the Southeast Division-leading Lightning to 6-1 this season against teams from its division.

Weekes, acquired in March from the Lightning, and Carolina’s defense kept one of the NHL’s top offenses bottled up most of the game until Kubina scored his first of the season, breaking a 19-game streak without a goal.

Carolina fell to 4-1-2-1 eight games into a franchise-record nine-game homestand.

Colorado 4, Phoenix 4 -- Mike Johnson scored the tying goal at Phoenix as the Coyotes turned the tables on the Avalanche. The first time the teams met, Colorado came from two goals behind to beat the Coyotes, 3-2, on Oct. 22.
