Re “A Diesel-Powered Intrusion,” Opinion, Nov. 17: Gee, I am so happy to hear Alan Lloyd declare that diesel-powered vehicles will become part of the solution in California’s effort to clean the air. I’ve just been diagnosed with smog-induced asthma severe enough to mimic a heart attack (emergency room visit, 40% of my lung capacity gone). I sure hope those diesels come soon to clean the air so I don’t have to leave the state in order to breathe. You can tell I’m sarcastic, right?
