4 Neighborhood Service Areas Proposed in Valley

A group of City Council members proposed Friday that the San Fernando Valley be divided into four neighborhood service areas, each with its own city hall and staff, instead of the two areas proposed by Mayor James K. Hahn.
Council members Tom LaBonge, Dennis Zine, Jack Weiss and Wendy Greuel submitted the motion to the council, which was sent to a committee for consideration with the mayor’s plan.
