3 Minor Quakes Hit on Third Day of Shaking
A trio of minor earthquakes shook suburban San Ramon on Tuesday, the third straight day of temblors in the area, temporarily delaying BART commuter rail service, but leaving no reported injuries or damage.
A magnitude 3.7 quake rumbled through the area, about 26 miles east of San Francisco, at 4:39 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It was followed by a 3.1 magnitude quake at 6:02 a.m. There was a 15-minute delay in BART service that was soon eliminated.
A third quake rolled through -- this one magnitude 3.3 -- just after noon.
