Worker Held After Waste Dumped in Sewer

A 42-year-old Oxnard man was arrested this week on suspicion of illegally dumping 2,000 gallons of septic tank waste into the city’s sewer system, police said Tuesday.
Robert Lopez Simental, an employee of Oxnard-based Ely Junior Pumping Co., was arrested Monday evening after a resident reported seeing a man dumping waste from a truck into a sewage manhole on McWane Boulevard.
