Three Arrested in Raid on Gang
Authorities raided 12 homes of known members of the Mongols motorcycle gang Tuesday, arresting three people and seizing evidence, police said.
The warrants stemmed from an investigation into a July 14 pistol whipping in the 10400 block of Slater Avenue, said Fountain Valley Police Sgt. Kim Brown. The victim was taken to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center and treated for lacerations, she said. Anthony Rios, 31, of Yorba Linda, was arrested two days later on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and burglary, Brown said.
Tuesday’s raid was carried out by several law enforcement agencies from Orange and Los Angeles counties. The three arrests were for weapons violations, marijuana possession and possession of burglary tools.
