Ex-Sheriff’s Deputy Is Under House Arrest
From Times Wire Reports
A federal judge has placed a former San Joaquin County sheriff’s deputy under house arrest.
U.S. District Court Judge Morrison C. England Jr. rejected prosecutors’ pleas earlier this week to keep Monte McFall in the Sacramento County jail.
McFall has been jailed without bail for three weeks on charges that he engaged in mail fraud, attempted extortion and witness tampering in connection with his post as a member of a San Joaquin County water board.
