Baca Rules Out TVInterview for Blake
From Times Staff Reports
Citing department policy, Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca has denied a request by actor Robert Blake to allow television cameras into Men’s Central Jail to tape a network interview, officials said.
Blake, 69, had planned to participate in his first on-camera interview since he was arrested April 18 and charged with murder in the fatal shooting of his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley, 44, in Studio City on May 4, 2001.
He had agreed to be interviewed by ABC’s Diane Sawyer.
