2 Boys Held in Holdup of Baskin-Robbins Store
Two 15-year-old Oxnard boys were arrested on suspicion of robbing a Baskin-Robbins on Friday night, and authorities were investigating whether the pair were involved in holdups at other local Baskin-Robbins shops.
During the last month, three Baskin-Robbins stores in Oxnard have been robbed a total of eight times, police said. In the most recent case, the suspects were arrested on suspicion of robbing a Baskin-Robbins in the 500 block of South Ventura Road.
One robber went in and demanded cash while the other stayed in a car, authorities said. The pair were taken into custody about a mile from the ice cream shop after police spotted their car.
