Dorsey Upset With Foe

Ken Dorsey complained about Boston College to his teammates, his coaches and referees. On Wednesday, the Miami quarterback went public.

Dorsey was hurried repeatedly, sacked once and knocked down several times Saturday in No. 1 Miami’s 38-6 victory over the Eagles. Four days later, he said many of the hits were cheap shots.

“They’re not a bunch of choir boys,” Dorsey said. “This was Boston College’s scheme: Run the ball the entire game to try to keep our offense off the field. And when we’re on the field, they’re going to blitz and try to hit me any way possible--late, on time, whatever. And they’ll twist a knee at the bottom of the pile. They’ll do anything.”

Then he added, “I just hate Boston College to be perfectly honest.”

Boston College Coach Tom O’Brien said he had not heard any complaints from Hurricane Coach Larry Coker.

The Louisville Cardinals aren’t where they thought they would be heading into one of their biggest home games ever.

Unranked and a disappointing 2-2, the two-time defending Conference USA champions play host to fourth-ranked Florida State (4-0) tonight.

“A lot of us expected to be 4-0,” Louisville quarterback Dave Ragone said.

Louisville has been looking forward to this game since a 31-0 loss at Florida State in 2000. The Cardinals went 11-2 in 2001 and wanted to show how much progress their program has made.

“This is the last game where we’re going to be able to prove to the nation that we’re a good team,” defensive end Dewayne White said. “We’re going to play some conference teams that aren’t going to be ranked, so this is the big game on our schedule.

“If we win, we’ll be the talk of the town again.”
