Free Health Screenings Available This Weekend
Several health screenings will be available locally starting today.
From 10 a.m. to noon today free screenings for diabetes and high blood pressure will be offered at the Ventura Avenue Adult Center, 550 N. Ventura Ave.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the seventh annual Multicultural Festival at Plaza Park at 5th and C streets in Oxnard, free referrals will be provided to local clinics that help detect breast and cervical cancer.
From 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, free screenings for diabetes and high blood pressure will be offered at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church, 155 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.
The events are intended to help individuals without health insurance.
