All Revved Up at Cruising Speed

I herein express my total glee and gratitude to all of those who happened to be navigating Interstate 5 north from the Disney Drive entrance all the way to the 210 Freeway east exit last Saturday evening between 8:40 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The exhilaration of zipping along in my old ’92 Saab 900 turbo among some truly wondrous vehicles and creative drivers who made up an armada of jet-propelled red ants or, better yet, a moving parking lot that never traveled slower than 75 mph at any time, while listening to Boston on the CD player, is an experience I will always treasure.

We don’t quite measure up, up in old, quiet Visalia, what with only two piddly freeways around. The Grand Prix of the Golden State Freeway rules for this 50-plus, rural choral teacher. Oh, and to the guy or gal sniffing my exhaust pipe for about 15 miles in that immaculate, big Infiniti SUV: Love ya, babe, and niener, niener, niener!
