At Least 100 Die When 2 Ferries Sink in Storms

A Buriganga River ferry carrying more than 300 passengers sank during a tropical storm near Dhaka, killing at least 95 people. Rescue workers, fearing that more people were trapped inside, expected the death toll to rise.
A second ferry carrying about 90 members of a wedding party on the Meghna River capsized in a storm near Bhairab, 50 miles northeast of Dhaka, a television station reported. Five bodies were found and many people were missing.
