Waterfront Land to Be Preserved as Open Space
From Times Wire Reports
The California Coastal Conservancy has approved a $2.2-million plan to buy waterfront property as open space.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to purchase the last remaining undeveloped land along the waterfront and preserve it in perpetuity,” said Sausalito Mayor Amy Belser.
The city also will use a $500,000 grant secured by Marin County in the purchase.
