Orchestra to Hold Free Celebration

The Pacific Symphony Orchestra will hold a free musical celebration at 4 p.m. today in front of the Old Orange County Courthouse in Santa Ana.

Music director Carl St.Clair will lead the orchestra through patriotic songs and music from popular movies starting at 6 p.m. There will also be a performance by the Bolivian group Alturas, as well as musical games and crafts for children, food booths and free ice cream for the first 1,000 children under age 12.

After the concert, there will be an open house at the Artists Village. In addition, vintage cars will be on display and the Old Orange County Courthouse and the nearby Howe-Waffle House, an 1889 mansion, will be open for tours from 4 to 6 p.m.

The orchestra will hold an additional concert at 5 p.m. Sunday at Pearson Park in Anaheim.
