$4.5 Million in Drugs Seized; Two Arrested

Authorities arrested two San Gabriel Valley men in what one federal drug official said Tuesday was the largest seizure of crystal methamphetamine in the United States.
Joa Chun-Yin and Thai Tong Long face federal charges of intending to distribute 70 pounds of a methamphetamine product known as “ice.”
Jose Martinez, a spokesman for the federal Drug Enforcement Agency in Los Angeles, said the drugs had a wholesale value of $4.5 million with a street value perhaps three times that.
