An enriching play

There is no more compelling argument for arts programs in the schools than the film “OT: our town,” which shows definitively how putting on a play, despite all the odds against it, enriches and enlarges the perspective of all those involved, even the adults (“Compton Is ‘Our Town,’ ” by Kenneth Turan, Aug. 15).
Sometimes you can reach kids through arts experiences that can be reached in almost no other way. Every school board member, every politician, should see this film!
