The New Wave

Danny Park, a 4-11 forward starting third grade this fall at St. Jude School in Westlake Village, nicknamed “Yao” by his teammates, announced his commitment to Pepperdine.

After a recent summer league game at the new youth facility at Oak Park High, where he scored 17 points, Danny told the assembled recruiters that he had made his decision to attend school in Malibu. He eliminated North Carolina and Notre Dame from consideration, stating, “Mom said they were too far away.”
