Four Pedestrians Injured After Being Hit by SUV
Four pedestrians were struck by a sport utility vehicle and injured, two of them critically, in South Los Angeles on Tuesday night, a Fire Department spokesman said.
The incident occurred about 9:10 p.m. near San Pedro and 78th streets, said Jim Wells of the Los Angeles City Fire Department.
The most seriously injured were a woman and a 6-year-old boy, Wells said. A 4-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy suffered minor injuries, he said. “It appears they were all members of the same family,” Wells said.
The victims were in the crosswalk when they were hit by the 1984 Ford Explorer, police said.
“The driver stopped and was not under the influence of alcohol,” Police Sgt. Juan Gonzalez said.
