Iverson Is Too Tough for Hinrich, Bulls, 83-82
Kirk Hinrich chased and pressured Allen Iverson the entire game, always with a hand up or trying to get him to run into a trap.
Iverson got the message early.
“I felt they were trying to get someone else to beat them,” he said.
Iverson scored 35 points and made the winning basket with 47 seconds left, lifting the Philadelphia 76ers to an 83-82 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night.
Iverson, who has scored 85 points in his last two games, took the pass from Eric Snow and dribbled to the baseline, where he made a fadeaway jumper with Hinrich’s hand right in his face.
The 76ers are 10-10 and the only team in the Atlantic Division with at least a .500 record.
