Mental Illness Is Not an Appropriate Defense

Is there such a condition as “legally insane”? Yes! This is when defense lawyers use mental illnesses to defend their clients.
If the defendant was suffering from a bio-psychological illness, he should have been under treatment. Was he?
Using mental illness as a defense attaches a stigma to people afflicted with such a disorder who in most cases are the victims and not the culprits.
