Sewage Spill Closes Part of Humboldt Beach
From Times Staff Reports
About 100 feet of Humboldt Beach, which fronts Huntington Harbour near Humboldt Drive and Wayfarer Lane, was closed following a spill Monday that dumped about 470 gallons of raw sewage into the harbor.
The spill resulted from a grease blockage in the sewer system of a Huntington Beach housing complex, said Larry Honeybourne of the county Health Care Agency.
The beach will be closed at least through Wednesday.
