Riverside Wins in OT

UC Riverside made eight of 10 free throws in the last minute of overtime Monday night to hold off visiting Northern Arizona, 72-69.

Riverside (1-4) and Northern Arizona (3-5) went into overtime tied at 57-57, but the Highlanders quickly built a seven-point lead.

Nate Carter led Riverside with 17 points, and Matt Benson had a career-high 16.

Northern Arizona, which has lost five in a row against Division I opponents, was led by Aaron Bond, who scored 20 points.
