Motorcyclist Dies in Collision With Truck

A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday when a pickup broadsided her, police said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was riding on Hewes Street near Chapman Avenue about 8 a.m., Sgt. Dave Hill said, when the pickup, heading south on Hewes, tried to make a left onto Chapman Avenue. They both had a green light, he said.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation was continuing, Hill said.
