Loyola Marymount (6-3) at Long Beach State (1-5), 7:30, KXLU-FM (88.9) -- The 49ers, whose only win came against NCAA Division II Cal State Stanislaus, lost on a shot in the final 30 seconds to Southern Utah on Saturday. Anthony Coleman, a 6-foot-11 junior forward, is eligible to play after transferring from Xavier last January. Loyola guard Brandon Worthy, out the first five weeks because of a broken right hand, will have the hand reexamined next week and could be available for the Jan. 2 game against Colgate. The Lions have dropped three of their last four, but the losses have been to Nevada Las Vegas, UCLA and Virginia.
