Time Warner Cable to Keep Sports Channels

Time Warner Inc.’s Time Warner Cable reached a temporary agreement to continue carrying two Cablevision Systems Corp. New York-area sports channels -- Fox Sports New York and Madison Square Garden Network -- after their current contract expires Wednesday. Terms of the new agreement weren’t disclosed.
Time Warner said in ads this month in New York-area newspapers that if Cablevision was to withhold the sports channels after the contracts expired, Time Warner would offer its customers a monthly $2 rebate.
