The men’s game between Cal State Northridge and Montana in Missoula, Mont., was postponed Saturday because the Matadors couldn’t get out of Salt Lake City.

Montana Athletic Director Wayne Hogan said the game would be rescheduled. No date has been set.

Hogan said Northridge was unable to fly into Missoula on Friday because of a major snowstorm in the Salt Lake City area. The team couldn’t get enough airplane seats on Saturday to reach Missoula in time.

“We are disappointed, but there are some things you just can’t control, and this is sure one of them,” Hogan said. “This is a first for me in my 20-plus years in athletics.”

St. Bonaventure suspended guard Marques Green for Saturday night’s game against Kent State for violating an undisclosed team policy.

First-year Coach Anthony Solomon would not comment on why he disciplined Green, his leading scorer and playmaker who averages 22.3 points a game and had started 66 consecutive games before the benching.

Green was not available for comment after he watched the Bonnies (4-6) lose, 74-46.

Green is expected to return for Saturday’s game at Boston College.

Green scored at least 20 points in six of St. Bonaventure’s first nine games. He scored a career-high 43 points in an overtime loss at Niagara on Dec. 17.

The victory improved the Golden Flashes to 6-2.
