Senators’ Prusek Shuts Out the Bruins

Martin Prusek stopped 24 shots and Todd White scored an unassisted short-handed goal in the first period Tuesday night in Ottawa’s 3-0 victory over the Bruins at Boston.

The Senators extended their undefeated streak to seven games. They are unbeaten in their last six road games.

Prusek got his second shutout of the season. White has four goals and an assist in his last five games.

The Bruins were shut out for the second time in their last four home games.

“We’re squeezing our sticks harder here,” Boston’s Joe Thornton said. “We’re a lot more freewheeling on the road.”

Philadelphia 7, St. Louis 2 -- Mark Recchi scored two of the Flyers’ five power-play goals and Jeremy Roenick scored twice at St. Louis.

The Flyers, who won for only the second time in 11 games, have 37 power-play goals in 150 chances.

The Blues scratched starting goalie Chris Osgood before the game because of a bruised right knee.

Minnesota 2, Edmonton 2 -- Mike York scored twice for the Oilers at Edmonton, Canada, including the tying goal with 2 minutes 17 seconds left in regulation.

York made the score, 1-1, in the first period when he unleashed a high wrist shot past Manny Fernandez.

Defensemen Nick Schultz and Willie Mitchell scored for Minnesota.
