Share

Making his first start since May 19, War And Remembrance will shorten up in trying for a repeat in tonight’s main event, a $12,250 allowance at 350 yards.

Owned by Spencer Childers and trained by Dan Francisco, the 4-year-old Strawfly Special gelding was last seen winning a rapid 550-yard contest in his first try at the seldom-run distance.

Drawn outside in the field of five, War And Remembrance, who was bred in California by his owner, will be ridden by Dennis Means. He has won at tonight’s distance. He broke his maiden in his fourth career start March 15.
