Boy in Critical Condition After Falling Into Pond
From Staff and Wire Reports
A 16-month-old boy was in critical condition Sunday after nearly drowning in a Garden Grove apartment complex pond, police said.
The child, who had been left unattended by an adult baby-sitter, fell into the 22-inch-deep decorative pond in the 11000 block of Euclid Street, according to Sgt. T.J. Whitman.
Police responded to a call for help about 3:20 p.m. and administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation to the unconscious child until paramedics arrived.
