Wednesday vs. Phoenix, 7:30 p.m., Fox Sports Net -- One of four teams standing between the Kings and a playoff spot, the Coyotes were 4-3 overtime losers at Staples Center on Dec. 26 in the last game before the King injury wave hit hardest.
Friday vs. Carolina, 7:30 p.m., Fox Sports Net -- An inspiration to lower-echelon teams throughout the NHL after their surprising run to the Stanley Cup finals last spring, the Hurricanes have been unable to recapture the magic.
Sunday at Dallas, 4 p.m. PST -- Shut out by the Kings in three consecutive games, the Stars have scored 10 goals in winning the last two meetings. At All-Star break, they were the only Pacific Division team holding a playoff spot.
