Pedestrian, 47, Dies After Being Hit by Car

A 47-year-old Oxnard man died of injuries he suffered after being struck by a car on Channel Islands Boulevard.
Samuel Rivera Espinoza walked into oncoming traffic west of Albany Drive about 6:40 p.m. Monday, authorities said. Espinoza was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, where he died.
An investigation indicated that Espinoza was intoxicated at the time, authorities said.
