Man Faces Death Penalty for 4 Slayings

A jury recommended the death penalty Monday for a Costa Mesa man convicted of killing four people at an El Monte night club.
Anh The Duong, 28, was convicted of shooting three men and a woman as they sat in a booth at the International Club on Telstar Avenue on May 6, 1999.
After the shootings, Duong eluded capture for nearly two years. Authorities arrested him as he played basketball at a 24-hour Fitness in Costa Mesa.
Sentencing is set for March 7 in Pomona Superior Court.
