Coroner Orders Tests on Dead Homeless Man
From Times Staff Reports
Coroner’s officials have ordered toxicology tests to determine what killed a 53-year-old homeless man whose body was found in a Ventura field.
The body of the man, identified as Allard Sanders, was found by two transients about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in a field north of Kellogg and Cedar streets, Deputy Coroner Craig Stevens said.
No signs of trauma were visible, so tests are necessary before an autopsy can be performed, Stevens said.
