The Colorado Avalanche got only one assist from Peter Forsberg, but his teammates more than picked up the slack.

Radim Vrbata had a goal and two assists, and Forsberg’s linemate Alex Tanguay added a goal and an assist as the Avalanche beat the Chicago Blackhawks, 5-4, Monday night at Chicago.

Colorado is 10-0-2-1 since losing to Detroit on Jan. 16.

Steve Reinprecht, Serge Aubin and Milan Hejduk -- Forsberg’s other linemate -- also scored for the Avalanche.

Ottawa 3, New York Rangers 2 -- Team captain Daniel Alfredsson assisted on goals by Radek Bonk, Mike Fisher and Martin Havlat as the Senators spoiled Pavel Bure’s return to the Ranger lineup at Ottawa.

Tampa Bay 3, Washington 1 -- Dan Boyle and Fredrik Modin scored early third-period goals at Tampa, Fla.

Ben Clymer and Washington goalie Olaf Kolzig collided late in the third period.

Kolzig needed some assistance as he skated off the ice and was replaced by Sebastien Charpentier.

Nashville 5, Boston 1 -- Rem Murray scored two unassisted goals to lead the Predators at Nashville.

Atlanta 4, Buffalo 3 -- Patrik Stefan scored his first career overtime goal with two seconds left on a power play at Atlanta as the Thrashers ended a four-game winless streak.

St. Louis 5, Calgary 3 -- Keith Tkachuk and Pavol Demitra each had two goals and an assist to help the Blues rally from a two-goal deficit at St. Louis.
