Realty Office Secretary Is Found Slain
A young woman was stabbed to death Friday morning in a small real estate office in unincorporated Walnut Park, authorities said.
A customer found the body of the woman, said to be in her early to mid-20s, about 11:30 a.m., said sheriff’s Lt. Joe Hartshorne.
A brother of the business owner said the victim was a secretary at 100% Realty Inc. in the 7700 block of Seville Avenue.
She apparently was killed during a “small window” of time when she was alone in the office, Hartshorne said.
Authorities had no suspects or motive for the killing. “It’s a real whodunit. We have nothing,” Hartshorne said. “We could really use the public’s help.”
Hartshorne said relatives who arrived at the scene had no idea who might have killed the woman or why.
A camera is mounted outside the front door of the office, but it wasn’t working, he said. “That was our big hope,” he said.
The business has two large windows and a glass door, but they are darkly tinted.
