Author to Speak on Earth-Friendly Farming

Organic farmer and author David Mas Masumoto will read from his book, “Four Seasons in Five Senses,” today at the Ventura headquarters of Patagonia, 235 W. Santa Clara St.
Masumoto is a third-generation Japanese American peach and grape farmer who speaks about balancing the need to make a living with protecting the environment.
The event starts at 7 p.m. and is free. Books will be available for purchase. For more information, call 643-6074.
