Kayakers Bid to Set Up Sites on S.F. Bay Shore
From Times Wire Reports
A group of kayakers is spearheading a drive to establish a network of launch-and-land sites for paddlers around the San Francisco Bay’s 230 miles of shoreline.
They envision the Bay Water Trail, a water version of the half-complete land trail that is being established around the same shoreline. The paddlers and planners predict a water trail of launch-and-land sites will attract tourists and prod politicians into further protecting the local environment.
