A new face on ‘Roadshow’

Share

PBS’ “Antiques Roadshow” is getting a new host, “Good Morning America” correspondent Lara Spencer, who will take the job in addition to her ABC duties. She’ll be on hand when the program starts taping new episodes this summer at locations around the country; the episodes will begin airing in January.

Meanwhile, “Roadshow” favorites Leigh and Leslie Keno, the identical twins who do appraisals, will host a new PBS series called “Find!” in October. They’ll search viewers’ homes for antique treasures and look at contemporary designs as well.

Separately, PBS said its stations in September will have the option of offering live news briefs from National Public Radio in prime time. The live 30- or 60-second newscasts at the top of the hour will tentatively be called “NPR News on PBS,” and are part of an ongoing effort to have the two public broadcasting entities work more closely together. The host will be announced later.
