Coroner Declares Man Brain-Dead After Crash

A Santa Barbara man has been declared brain-dead after sustaining head injuries in a car accident on the Ventura Freeway, officials said Thursday.
Joseph Fuller, 55, was pronounced brain-dead Wednesday night by the Ventura County coroner’s office. The crash occurred south of Mussel Shoals about 8 p.m. Tuesday when Fuller lost control of his car.
