A man fled Los Angeles International Airport on Monday night when federal security agents discovered $150,000 worth of cocaine in his baggage.

Agents discovered the drugs while screening for explosives.

According to Los Angeles police and Transportation Security Administration officials, the man was attempting to check baggage onto ATA Flight 102 for New York City’s LaGuardia Airport at about 11 p.m. when an explosives detection machine revealed six kilos of cocaine wrapped in brick-like packages.

As an agent was opening the bag, the suspect slipped away.

Authorities hope to find a videotape showing the suspect’s face to help identify him.
