‘Chicago’ among winners for best film ads

“Adaptation,” “Chicago” and “The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers” were the big winners at the 32nd annual Key Art Awards, handed out at the International Cultural Center in Los Angeles on Friday night in honor of last year’s best movie advertising.

Sony’s “Adaptation” won for best poster of the year, while Miramax’s Oscar-winning “Chicago” received the award for best trailer. Best movie Web site went to New Line Cinema’s “The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.”

Sony’s “Spider-Man” picked up awards for best action/adventure poster and best action/adventure trailer.

The Key Art Awards are sponsored by the Hollywood Reporter, with judging done by a panel of more than 200 judges.

Other winners included Focus Features’ “The Pianist” for best drama poster and Universal’s “Undercover Brother” for best comedy trailer.
