Debt to Siegel
Robert Abele’s article (“Real Pedals to the Metal,” June 22) seems to have overlooked the wild, scary car chase in Don Siegel’s classic 1958 film “The Lineup.” Both “Bullitt” and “The French Connection” owe their car chase sequences to Siegel’s film.
