Because of the $1-million Santa Anita Handicap, the Arcadia track is offering 11 live races, including two other graded stakes -- the $200,000 San Rafael for 3-year-olds and the $400,000 Kilroe Mile for older turf runners.
Throw in 10 races from Golden Gate, nine from Gulfstream Park, three from the Fair Grounds, five from Aqueduct and three from Oaklawn and a bettor could have wagers on 41 races today.
Good Journey, who is scheduled to be retired in June and move to Australia to be a stallion, is the one to beat in the Kilroe.
Who’s hot: Larry Jones. The trainer won with seven of his first 17 starters at Oaklawn Park.
