Costumers laud ‘Chicago’ styles

In the award frenzy leading up to Sunday’s Oscar ceremony, “Chicago” has notched another victory. Costume designer Colleen Atwood was honored by the Costume Designers Guild for excellence in a period or fantasy film.

Winners in other categories included Wendy Chuck for excellence in a contemporary film for her designs for “About Schmidt,” Laura Goldsmith for excellence in contemporary television for ABC’s “Alias” and Jane Anderson for excellence in period or fantasy television for NBC’s ‘60s-era “American Dreams.”
