From Times Wire Reports

A Thai island resort is turning away Americans to protest the U.S.-led attack on Iraq, owner Wirat Ponchababnapa said. The Pavilion Resort on Koh Samui is barring Americans on the grounds that most support President Bush and the war in Iraq, he said.

He said he feared that the war would spark more terrorist attacks on resorts such as the one in October that killed more than 200 people in Bali. Americans represent only about 3% of the guests.

Wirat said he would offer them free transportation to neighboring establishments.
