Argument in Traffic Ends in Shooting
An exchange of words between motorists resulted in a confrontation Wednesday that left one man shot in the abdomen, Fountain Valley police said.
The injured man was expected to survive the 3 p.m. shooting at Heil Avenue and Everest Circle, Sgt. Kevin Thomas said.
Thomas said an argument erupted between occupants of two cars. One man got out of his car and went toward another vehicle, Thomas said. As he approached, someone in that car opened fire with a handgun.
Detectives were trying to determine the identities of the victim and the shooter, Thomas said. An investigation was continuing.
