Chicks First Policy Makes 2003 Debut

Chicks First Policy, the champion 3-year-old gelding of 2000, tonight will make his first start of 2003 in the seventh race, a $12,850 allowance at 350 yards.

Owned by Martha Wells and trained by Dan Francisco, who recently became the 13th trainer to win 500 quarter horse races here, Chicks First Policy, who will be ridden by Raul Ramirez, hasn’t run since finishing ninth in the Los Alamitos Winter Championship more than 13 months ago.

The field: Debuts Dasher, Royal N Rowdy, Chicks First Policy, Dreams Of His Own, Zee Wayne, Harley Man and Gotabenuts.
