Byung-Hyun Kim became the third starting pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks to go on the disabled list this season.

The Diamondbacks put the sidearming right-hander, who has a bruised right ankle, on the 15-day disabled list Sunday, a move retroactive to Wednesday. He was injured April 15 when he was hit by the barrel of Preston Wilson’s broken bat.

The Diamonbacks also put left-handed reliever Stephen Randolph, who has a sprained left oblique muscle, on the 15-day disabled list. They recalled two pitchers from triple-A Tucson -- right-hander Scott Service and left-hander Chris Capuano.

Kim joins Randy Johnson on the disabled list. Johnson is sidelined for at least another three to five weeks after arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. Curt Schilling came off the list on Saturday and started Saturday night’s 7-6 victory over Atlanta.

General Manager Gerry Hunsicker of the Houston Astros said the team will trade shortstop Julio Lugo or put him on waivers in the coming days.

Lugo was arrested Wednesday night after a game against the Braves, charged with misdemeanor assault for allegedly attacking his wife at Minute Maid Park before the game.
